Frequently Asked Questions

Bone Setting

  • Bone setting is a traditional form of hands-on bodywork that focuses on restoring movement and organization in the joints, fascia, and connective tissue.

The work aims to open restricted areas of the body so movement becomes easier, more coordinated, and less strained. You can learn more here

  • Bone setting can address both specific issues and broader structural patterns, including:

    • Back, neck, and shoulder restrictions

    • Hip, knee, or ankle stiffness

    • Postural imbalance

    • Nerve-related discomfort

    • Loss of mobility or chronic tightness

You do not need to have a full-body problem to benefit — single, localized issues are commonly treated.

  • Bone setting works at the level of joint organization and fascia, rather than primarily strengthening muscles, prescribing exercises, or performing repeated adjustments.

There is no cracking, thrusting, machines, or protocols.

The goal is to remove the underlying restriction so the body can reorganize itself naturally, rather than managing symptoms long-term.

  • The work is generally gentle, though sensation varies depending on the area and how restricted it is.

Some areas may feel intense briefly, especially if they haven’t moved well for a long time. Most people describe the work as clear and corrective rather than painful.

  • Bone setting sessions are typically around 30 minutes.

  • Common responses include:

    • Increased ease or range of movement

    • A feeling of openness or lightness

    • Temporary soreness or fatigue

    • The body continuing to settle over several days

These responses are normal and usually stabilize within a few days. You can learn more here.

  • Some people experience meaningful change in 2-3 sessions. Others work across multiple visits, particularly for long-standing or complex issues.

Many clients choose to return each time a clinic runs in their city rather than attending weekly.

Training

  • Training teaches you how to maintain and build on the changes created through hands-on work.

It focuses on joint opening, fascia organisation, internal mechanics, coordination, and practical strength — so you can improve your body without relying on ongoing treatment.

  • Yes. Training is adapted to the individual and does not require previous experience, flexibility, or fitness.

The focus is on quality of movement, not intensity.

  • Training may include:

    • Joint-opening work

    • Fascia and connective tissue organisation

    • Internal mechanics and coordination

    • Practical strength and stability

Sessions are instructional and participatory, not hands-on treatment.

  • Training is offered through:

    • Small-group workshops

    • Intensive training blocks

    • Selected one-to-one contexts

    Availability varies by location.

  • I am based in Chiang Mai and run clinics across Southeast Asia, including Bangkok, Singapore, and Bali.

  • Most locations are revisited every 1–3 months, depending on demand.
