Bone Setting

Bone Setting

Overview

This is traditional, hands-on bodywork designed to open the body and release deep tension. Using precise pressure rather than force, the method helps improve ease, movement, and overall wellbeing. Sessions are gentle, clear, and typically around 30 minutes.

Benefits

Bone Setting is a traditional method for correcting restrictions in the joints, fascia, and nervous system. It focuses on opening the body, restoring space, and reorganising your structure so you move with more freedom and ease.

The work is hands-on and precise, using controlled pressure rather than force. Sessions aim to release long-held restrictions, clarify joint relationships, and improve how different parts of the body communicate and work together. There is no cracking or aggressive manipulation — depth is guided by feel, not technique.

This method comes from long-term internal training, requiring refined sensitivity and the ability to feel deep inside the body — a skill that takes years to develop. Training the practitioner’s own body is central to the work, as sensitivity and control cannot be learned through theory alone.

Because of these high requirements, this approach has become rare, even in mainland China, where many traditional systems have been simplified or replaced. What is offered here comes from one of the remaining lineages of true structural work, refined through thousands of hours of direct experience with real bodies.

Sessions are typically around 30 minutes and are adapted on the day based on what the body presents. The work is non-clinical and practical in nature, designed to support changes that integrate naturally rather than relying on short-term effects.

We are based in Chiang Mai, with regular clinics and sessions held across Asia.
